HOW IS IT FREE?

This project is funded by the ECO4 scheme which is the Energy Company Obligation. The UK’s largest energy suppliers are required to fund a set amount each into improving energy efficiency in homes across the UK, it is this funding which pays for the project. Making it free for those who qualify.

IS IT UNDER WARRANTY?

Any equipment installed will be covered under warranty for 5 years. After that 5 year period you have the option to opt in for insurance.

IS IT INSURED?

After your 5 year warranty, you can choose to opt in for insurance, in which you would pay monthly for maintenance, similar to how boiler cover would work.

IS IT government FUNDED?

The ECO4 scheme was set up by the government which holds large energy companies, operating in the UK to account for funding the project. The funding does not come directly from the government (i.e it does not come from taxpayers money). The money comes from the energy companies.

DO I NEED TO BE ON BENEFITS?

Recieving benefits likely means you will qualify, you can see our list of qualifying benefits here.
However if you do not recieve benefits you may still qualify if your household income is less than £31,000 per year and you have any of our qualifying disabilities, are pregnant or have children under the age of 5.

DO I NEED TO OWN MY HOME?

Owning your home is not a requirement for qualification however, those who do own their homes and qualify in terms of financial circumstances will be eligible for these energy efficiency equipment.

WHAT DO I GET?

What you get is based on what you require, after applying we will send a surveyor to your home to see what we can do for you. We aim to give you all that we can to improve your energy efficiency but it is based on your requirements.
Some examples of what we can give you are:

• Interior Wall Insulation

• First Time Central Heating

• Loft Insulation

• Room In Loft Insulation

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

The entire process from application to completion should take no longer than 4-8 weeks.
After applying online, one of our agent will call you the next day to book in an appointment with a surveyor the following week, who will access your property and organise installers to come and fit the equipment, time of installation is based on the amount of equipment being installed and how quickly we can get the government funding. You can speed up this process by getting us the relevant documents as soon as possible.

HOW LONG IS THE SURVEY OF MY HOME?

Our surveyors can take up to 2 hours in your home, trying to find all possible solutions to keep the heat in your house. We try to do as much as we can for our customers and that is why it can be so time consuming.

HOW LONG IS THE INTALLATION?

The average installation takes 1-2 days depending on what is being installed.
Internal Wall Insulation can take up to 3 days.

I AM A PRIVATE TENANT, CAN I STILL QUALIFY?

Privatley renting your home is not a requirement for qualification however, those who do rent their homes from a private landlord and qualify in terms of financial circumstances will be eligible for these energy efficiency equipment.

DO I QUALIFY IF I AM PART OF A HOUSING association?

Unfortunately those who are a part of a housing association do not qualify for this scheme as there are existing measures in place to aid housing associations. If this applies to you, reach out to your local councillor or the housing associationfor assistance.
